Default Suave Naturals

I am researching different products on my journey to CG (I want to start this weekend). Every member on the boards is recommending SN for starting out.

I have the SN in Green Apple, but was reading the ingredients list on their website (I'm looking for low protein/protein free) and every CO lists Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate and Ammonium Laureth Sulfate as the 2nd and 3rd ingredient?!

I will have to check my bottle when I get home, but I'm hoping maybe they just didn't list separate ingredient for the CO, and that's for the poo. I'm clicking on CO ingredients though, and that is listed for all of the products.

Is this just a website mistake or has the product been reformulated?

That sounds like the shampoo ingredients.

I've heard that the green apple formula can be a bit heavy, so if it doesn't work well for you, don't scrap the whole CG method. I typically use VO5 Kiwi Lime as a co-wash because it's a super light conditioner.

Oh good bc I love the Green Apple scent!

I may get a V05 for CO wash, just to try it out. Maybe I could use the SN for a RO if I like the V05 better?

Definitely play around with different combos. That's half the fun!

Can SN Coconut be used as a LI? Or the Green Apple? I realized my LI (Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine) has a cone in it..

I've used the Tropical Coconut as an LI. It's on the lighter side, but worked ok for me.

I didn't wash tonight (I'm trying to wait until about Sat. night and then starting CG), but I just partially wet my hair and put a small amount of the Coconut CO in my palms, added a little water, and rubbed it together. Then I kind of lightly scrunched it in my hair, especially the ends and frizzier areas.

Tomorrow morning I might add a little more to refresh from pineappling and then scrunch in some HETT gel. I'm ready to go full CG and wash all the cones out this weekend!
