Default oily hair after deep conditioning

I deep condition over night with olive oil or coconut oil and sometimes mixed with small amounts of other stuff as well once or twice a week. The next morning, I rinse it out with a cheap conditioner, sometimes I'll mix it with apple cider vinegar and leave it in for about 15 minutes. I try to rub it out really well. After the first wash, my hair is always oily, but by the second day the oils have soaked in and my hair is super soft but not too oily until the next time I deep condition. I have a sulfate free cleanser that I've tried using, but if I use that I think I lose most of the benefits of the treatment because my hair isn't as soft. I've also tried just using a little bit of oil for the treatment, but that doesn't seem to help either. Any tricks on how to get just the right amount of oil?
p.s. I've heard that jojoba oil can decrease the oiliness of hair, but thats really just the oil that your hair creates, right? Oh and I have thin 3a/b hair that's down to the small of my back when its wet.

it might be the olive oil thats making your hair so oily, try using a different oil as well, i love coconut oil and macadamia oil, or argan oil and evening primrose oil.

Thanks for the help, but my hair also gets really oily after I use coconut oil. I like to use argan oil in my hair, but it's so expensive that I wouldn't want to use it as a deep conditioning treatment because I'd go through it quickly (I just put a little bit on my dry ends) Do you water it down with a lot of primrose oil? I love the idea of using primrose oil in my hair, but I recall that being a little on the pricier side too :/

Perhaps you should just try a lighter oil, like jojoba oil, by itself. Or try mixing it with the coconut oil or EVOO to thin them out.

Hmm...those seem to be the only things I can think of. You could also just wear your hair in a really cute bun or updo when your hair is oily, then wear it down on the not so oily days.

Hope that helps!

Sebum is the natural oil your body produces. Jojoba is supposed to have similar properties to sebum, (they are both very waxy) but it's not the same. Jojoba oil doesn't decrease the oiliness of hair, like any other oil.

I love deep conditioning with coconut oil. I think deep conditioning with a penetrating oil like coconut or argan is more effective for hair health than deep conditioning with a less penetrating oil like olive or jojoba. Though I love using olive oil as a leave in on dry hair to reduce frizz and enhance shine.

After the deep oil treatment, I generally have to wash and rinse a few times to remove the excess. Maybe you just have to wash more than once?

yes primrose oil is pricy as well, but not as bad as argan. thats y i do half half. i dont use it as a base, though i put a splash of argan oil in. just so i still get same of benefits from it. sealing your ends with it would be a great idea as well.
and argan oil helps control oil. i use it, (half half) as a growth booster, of cause i feel that i have oil on my scalp once ive messaged it on, but the next morning its all soaken in. i also use my mix to help with my bf's dandruff. after 2 used its all cleard up.
