Default My Hair Freaked Out?!

I started mod-CG about a month ago. I wash 2-3 times a week:

Sulfate-free poo
CO- Wash w/ SN Green Apple
RO/LI SN Coconut
HETT Gel
PM Mouse

Suddenly my hair is stringy and limp. It usually takes 2 hours to dry and suddenly won't be half dry after that time. The canopy will not clump or form any type of style-it just hangs down and is a stringy, nasty mess! I have not changed my routine and I'm in a wedding this Saturday, so I'm freaking out!

Help?!

Many of us rotate products for just this reason. My hair has always satiated on products, even back in my shampoo/conditioner only days. I wet, use a rinse out and style every day. Seldom use any product more then every five days, if that.

You didn't mention your texture. It's possible that you need to add more protein.

Try some new things. Your hair should perk up.

up.
Completely agreed. I have 2 cleansers, two co washes, two RO, and two COND that I style with that I use all in rotation. My hair, even when not using CG method needed a switch up of products.

Sometimes too, I think my hair gets.....over moisturized. When its over moisturized it just blah. Wont curl, wont straighten, and wont dry.

Try switching products and see what happens!

I agree with rotating products. And consider a pt/dt according to your hair type/needs. When my hair goes limp, it's one of those

Totally co-sign. I rotate between the Garnier Pure Clean shampoo/conditioner (I know it has a sulfate...call me moddie), Giovanni shampoo/conditioner, and the Yes to Carrots shampoo/conditioner. I also rotate leave-ins. I've never had a problem with limp, stringy hair. Then again my hair's insanely thick/coarse so that may take awhile to happen...

Hey NC88. I know we have similar hair, and i'm currently having a similar problem. my hair is stringy and frizzy. I'm thinking its the Suave coconut. first day fantastic hair. but its been getting gradually worse since i started using it. gonna be soaking in conditioner tonight to try and fix it.
