Angry What's going on with my hair?

I've been about 3 months CG now and I've been loving it. Of course I went though the initial greasy/frizzy stage but eventually my hair started looking really great! For the past week though, my hair has been looking really frizzy and gross. I don't know why, I haven't done anything different to it all all. It looks really bad, I've been tempted to take the straightener to it. Anyone have any tips or know why this might be happening?

Hmmm...there are a couple of things that could be happening: 1) If your hair is fine, you may be over conditioned. Try a protein treatment, 2) You have build up. A silicone-free sulfate shampoo, a low-poo, or a baking soda wash followed by an ACV rinse will normally solve this, 3) Your hair doesn't agree with some of the products you're using. Have you changed anything since you first started the CG method?

Let me know if I helped!!!

EDIT: Don't straighten it just yet! That'll just knock you back to stage 1!

Wait, so if you straighten it it'll knock you back to stage one? Why is that? I did straighten it for the first time about a week ago but I didn't think that had to do with my hair looking bad now! I haven't been using any different products or anything, and my hair hates protein haha. Thank you for your post!! You helped a ton

Depending on how often you straighten and how healthy your hair is, straightening can damage your curls. My hair is 3b and I straightened it a while back, now there are certain parts of my hair that are dry and frizzy. But it appears that you don't straighten your hair often, so I doubt that you have any serious damage. I suggest that you try deep treatments since your hair doesn't like protein! Oh, and you're welcome!

Default Care your hair with natural oils

Only natural oils contain full nourishment required for your hair. No other products can care your hair ......

Sometimes when I straighten my hair, it seems to take a while for my hair to get it's natural curl pattern. It is looser, but over time curls right back.

Are you using the same products every day? Sometimes your hair will just get tired of them. I like to rotate between different products on different days.
