What am I doing wrong?!
I started the curlygirl method about a month ago, using no shampoo but a conditioner without -cones. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week (every other week or so I use diluted apple cider vinegar), only combing it in the shower, setting my hair up in a pineapple at night, spray it with water in the morning and after the gym to liven up the curls which have gone flat during the night. I use a little bit of gel every now and then, but I'm not sure I like it.
Basically, the problem I'm encountering is that my hair is still very dry and it tangles massively since I'm not combing it. I really like the way my curls are after I've washed my hair, but after having slept with it in a pineapple or in braids or whatever, it doesn't look 'fabulous' like other forum members say theirs so - mine is as flat as when it was before I started the curlygirl method.
Am I maybe not using the right products? Am I not using enough products (I see that people have rinse-out conditioners, styling gels, sprays etc.)?
My conditioner: Superdrug Tea Tree and Peppermint Conditioner
My gel: Umberto Giannini Curl Friends, Flirty Curls Scrunching Jelly

Check your gels & conditioners for 'cones. Can you list their ingredients here?
Maybe your conditioner isnt moisturizing enough. What are your hair properties?

I see glycerin pretty high up on the ingredients list for both products. I wonder if your hair doesn't like that particular ingredient. I don't see any cones in either product.

If that's the case, any advice on where in the UK I can get glycerin free conditioner?
