Default Curly girl and Hello Hydration?

I started the Curly Girl method 3 years ago...and I thought I was doing it correctly. I thought that Hello Hydration conditioner was CG approved, but now that I've been researching again, I think it has silicones. Is it not CG friendly? Do I need to start over with a sulfate shampoo? Or can I do a low poo? I have some DevaCurl low poo I could use.

Hello Hydration is not CG friendly, because it has cones!!!Look: this is the INCI of the shampoo

water, ammonium lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, sodium chloride, cocamide mea, glycol distearate, dimethicone, ammonium xylenesulfonate, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, cocos nucifera (coconut) milk, fragrance, cetyl alcohol, polyquaternium-10, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, disodium edta, peg 7m, citric acid, propylene glycol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, blue 1.

Ingredient Attributes: paraben free, protein free, glycerin free

And this is the conditioner's one:

water, stearyl alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane, cetyl alcohol, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, dimethicone, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, cocos nucifera (coconut) milk, fragrance, glutamic acid, benzyl alcohol, edta, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, blue 1

Ingredient Attributes: sulfate free, paraben free, protein free, glycerin free

To eliminate the cones, you should use a sulfates shampoo without cones and follow with a conditioner without cones. There are a lot of natural lines! If you live in the USA, you can choose a lot of products that will work better than HE line.
You'll spend more, but it worths the price, don't worry!!!=D

You don't need a sulfate shampoo. A low poo containing Cocamidopropyl Betaine or Cocobetaine will remove any silicones from your hair, without the stripping effect of a sulfate shampoo.

You can id a silicone in an ingredient list if it ends in -cone, -conol, or -xane. If there's a PEG or PPG in the beginning, that means it's a water soluble silicone and a cowash will remove it. If the silicone isn't a PEG or PPG one, then it's not water soluble, can't be cowashed out and requires a low poo for removal... not CG friendly. Dimethicone Copolyol is an exception to the rule, as it is water soluble. However, it's often paired with other silicones that aren't CG friendly, so read the ingredients carefully. Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone look like silicones, but they end in -none and are preservatives.

Thanks, Ladies. I don't know why I thought Hello Hydration was ok. Looks like I'll be starting my routine over.
