My Story and Tips for Beginners
Co washing has helped so much. I was skeptical at first, but I took the plunge. I read up on it first and decided to try it. Not sure how long I've been doing it, but it's in my signature. Honestly, I noticed results the NEXT DAY. My curls were more defined and bouncy! I had a lot of damage that is gradually reversing and I'm way less frizzy! MY curls used to be very stringy as well, but now it's very defined and tight. But I did encounter challenges, so here a few tips for beginners:)
1. SCRUB. Scrubbing right is going to ensure you get your hair clean. Don't scrub with your fingernails, use your finger tips! A BIG TIP is to scrub while you rinse ans well to make sure you get out all the conditioner. 2. DON'T OVERDO IT Using too much conditioner is a big no-no. Your hair will turn out greasy and gross. Use really small amounts at a time and work them in before adding more. 3. CONSIDER YOUR HAIR TYPE Consider your hair type and customize the plan for your hair. I don't use a richer conditioner after co washing. I find it makes my hair to oily. Instead, I deep condition once a week. Hope I helped a few of you out and to anyone who is skeptical about trying, TAKE A CHANCE! This has saved my hair! |
