So I've been using suave's clarifying shampoo for probably close to a month now, and I feel like today is the day to start Co-washing. I went out and got Pantene's new co-wash and I will report back soon.
A little backstory on my hair:
As a kid my mother was not used to curls like mine in any way whatsoever, so she always, shampooed, conditioned, and detangled every night, and I would always complain about my frizzy-ness, the hair stylist never really helped either.
Luckily once I hit 7th grade, I learned about straightening irons, and through 7th grade until about sophmore year of high school, I straightened my hair whenever I could. Junior year I just got lazy and started blow drying curly. I was still blissfully unaware of my hair's actual curliness!
Once I graduated, I just kind of started letting it do it's own thing, but it was still ridiculously huge and frizzy. It wasn't until about May of this year that I started learning all the neat curly tricks, like plopping/plunking, sulfate free, and no terry cloth.
My hair has gotten much much better lately, but I'm hoping cowashing will cut down the frizz even more.
Wish me luck!!!
Which pantene co-wash do you use?
High Porosity, Fine, Thin Density, Low Elasticity
Co-wash, leave in, and gel: Alba botanica coconut cond., ogx mousse, &/or super wet look gel.
Curls
I use the 2-in-1 Head and Shoulders for men but have gone without shampoo or conditioner more often lately. The curls are even better than when I shampoo but if I do it too often my hair feels too oily. What's a good conditioner for co-washing? I'm open to suggestions.
