A Simple Protective Holiday Style

Submitted on Monday, December 20th, 2010 by NightGypsie

I've been natural since 2002 and I love it! At this moment, my hair is under recovery from a beautician's faulty over-coloring, so less is better for me! Currently, I am doing simple braid-outs. Since I am suffering dryness, I constantly add moisture. I am using simple spring water and a light oil and I steam it once a week. I also use a hair butter. This hair style consists of a large frenchbraid around the front to pick up and protect flyaways or short pieces of hair. Sometimes I add a nearly invisible band behind the frenchbraid to make sure the rest stays back and doesn't bush out up front overshadow the braid. This picture was taken a few days ago. I was on my way to an early holiday celebration at a dance club.
