This picture was taken on UGA's campus at a New Year's Party with my campus ministry. It was a 20's inspired theme. I wore a pants jumper to signify a little of the masculinity of the dress for women during that time; and to match it my best friend wore a flapper dress and we went as a "couple". I had washed and twisted my hair two days before this, and worn it out. So I re-twisted & set a two day old twist out; I kept the twist in for about 4 hours. I co-washed(2 days earlier) with Tresemme's Natural Moisture Conditioner w/ Aloe. I used Miss Jessie's Buttercreme & Castor Oil for my twists. When I took the twists out after I finished dressing for the party, I pinned both sides to make a faux-hawk. I purposely twisted my hair in the front to make it seem a little spiky. My colored ends are still hanging on in the front which actually added a nice touch. Happy New Year!
