I washed my hair and after I towel dried my hair, I proportionally rubbed "Mixed Chicks Leave in conditioner" and let my hair air dry. Then I just put the hat right ontop of my head but I didn't put any hair inside the hat. If you want, you can bobby pin the hat in. :)
