Elijah's Teeny Weeny Afro

My 8 year old son, Elijah asked me if he could grow his hair long after I began my natural journey last July. He loves his afro and was excited when I told him that I was entering his afro in a contest. :-) This is him standing in our front yard before heading off to school. Elijah is the only African American boy in his class and loves the fact that his friends think his afro is cool. I love that he LOVES his hair and mine and has an understanding that he should be proud of the hair that God gave him.
