RacerWife7, Before and After

What did you learn from the Curly Girl Challenge?
I come to NaturallyCurly.com periodically to see what's new. I found it there.
How has it changed your hair?
You're not going to like my synopsis at all. I've used Deva products twice now. The first time I didn't have a good, layered cut (which I DEFINITELY need in order to have nice curl). But, this time, I DO have a good cut. My curls have been doing great since the cut, so I was excited to re-try Deva products and see how they worked out for me. Unfortunately, I don't like ANYTHING about these products. Not ONE of them does anything for me that I like. My hair does not curl nicely at all. It feels "heavy" and definitely not nice to the touch; almost dirty instead of clean and healthy. And as the day progresses, it gets heavier and the curls more weighed down (AKA - it pulls the curl out as the day goes on). AnGell makes my hair stiff and it gets tangled more easily than ever in my recollection - and it doesn't matter how much or how little I use; I get the same results. By the time I took my "after" picture, my hair was bothering me SO much, I had to put a headband in it (something I ONLY do when my hair is really bugging me - as anyone close to me will tell you). I paid $70 for 3 products: NoPoo, One Condition, and AnGell and I feel as if I might have just thrown that $70 out the window because all of that product will be wasted. I do NOT like these products at all. They only served to remind me that salon products STINK and I'm better off sticking with the products over the counter that work wonderfully and get me compliments on my curls all the time. Sorry, Deva!
