- Last year, I made the refreshing decision to chop off all my relaxed hair & start from scratch with chemical-free, naturally curly hair. My goal is to let it grow past my shoulders. Just trying to enjoy the short length for now. Must be patient.

- I joined this forum because I need help. I'm thinking about transitioning from my relaxer. I have shoulder length hair, and it's in decent shape. I do not look good with short hair, so I'm am totally opposed to a big chop. I don't mind having it trimmed as it grows.
I have not had natural hair since high school, and that was quite a while ago. My memories of my natural hair; however, are fresh in my mind. My hair was wild, unruly, tough to manage, and almost impossible to comb through. Just thinking of those memories alone is enough to make me wonder why in the world am I even considering natural hair.
Yesterday I visited a hair salon that caters to natural hair. All of the people in the salon had natural hair, but me. The ladies that were there had long, shiny, flowing hair that was straight. I want me some of that, but were they the exception to the rule? Is that possible for me? I don't want damaged, broken off, dry, brittle, unruly hair. Is it really possible for me to transition to natural, shiny, LONG, flowing hair?
