Hello Ladies, I am now almost 7 months post relaxer. i am so proud of myself because i am only 15 and i have not caved in to get my hair relaxed again. It Started to get hard when i had to constantly do my hair but my mom put kinky twist in my hair and i am now in good shape. Today i will get my hair retwisted so i of course am doing a deep conditioner. As of now i am working on gaining and retaining length and keeping moisture in my hair so it wont break. Every month i begin to cut more and more of my relaxed ends off i am half way there. But my hair in the back is 3/4 of the way natural cause it was braided up more than the front for weaves. I have no one true deep conditioner that i use on my hair im just trying different packages, so if you have a good deep conditioner please comment and tell me about it. Im sorry i dont have any pictures to show you guys my growth but next time i will. But please go check out my blog: goodbyerelaxers.tumblr.com and if you have one comment with your blog name so i can follow and learn more.! Thats its for today until next time. :) |

Hello Lovely Transitioners! Well For My Bday Last Friday i decided to dye and flat iron my hair. The dye is pretty and my hair is soft but when i flat ironed it my hair kept curling up at the roots and it was making me so mad! So today i will wash and deep condition my hair and go back to my braid and twist outs. My hair has grew but you really cant tell after the humidity has gotten to it and it poofs up. I am now planning to not flat iron my hair for a while and when i decide to im going to go to a natural salon and get it flat iron and see how that works out for me. I am loving my journey so far and seeing how pretty my curls are with my new color.! If you ladies have any more tips on how to flat iron transitioning hair please comment and tell me so i can tell my mother! :) -Love,Peace, & Harmony. ![]() |
Just Getting Started

Hello I am Just a teenager and i decided to go natural in late december after i got my last relaxer and i wasn't really satisfied. I love to have full and big hair so on a daily basis i wear my hair in twist outs and flat iron my hair when i am going somewhere special. I plan on transitioning for a while and each month i will gradually cut my relaxed ends off. For a while i always been about my hair,i still am but not as much because i just go and let it do its own thing and it usually turns out good. But i came to learn my hair is pretty even though its not fine hair like my mom's, i have good hair just like everyone else and i will cherish it. At this point my hair is at shoulder length and i have dyed my hair before. Ever since i was young my hair would just eat up oil so i have to use a good moisturizer and i use BB, i love this product it keeps my hair really moisturized. I have went on youtube and watched a lot of videos and researched a lot and i have learned a lot but i still have questions like how often should you deep condition and apply a hot oil treatment to your hair? Well thats all for now hope all is well on your journey to becoming natural.! Love,Peace and Harmony -Mel |
