An Introduction: From Hair to There

Hey there,

First time venturing out into the curly girl world.

The internet is a funny thing. You can go online to check your email, RSVP to a party then 3 hours later you are watching videos on how to "plop" your hair with a strange look on your face.

That was me the other night. And it felt like I'd found a secret club that I wanted to be apart of.

Grew up with soft Shirley Temple curls and lots of them. Made many a mistake with hair cuts along the way. In college I discovered frizz serum and hair dye, much to the chagrin of my conservative parents.

Now I'm a mom and since the pregnancy and birth of my son 6 years ago, my hair has gone through some tough transformations.

I'm giving the curly mop top a go for a bit, give my hairs some much needed break from the iron.

So far I'm on day 3 and it's getting a little hairy. I get the feeling like I need a wash. I'll tough it out all for the sake of a few softer more natural curls.

  • Told all my life "I wish I had your hair! I have to pay to have mine look like that" I learned quickly to nodded and appreciate that compliment. Little did they know all the work that went into my mop of curls.
