I am new to NC because i have recently decided to go natural. I was born with curly hair but my mom couldnt maintain it, so she put a relaxer in. All of my hair literally fell out and it grew back straight and very thick. I started experimenting with color which drastically damaged my hair, so I got it cut short in layers. I then tried to grow it back, but it only grew just a little bit but got even thicker. The pictures show the thick, dry, and brittle hair that I now have. I am going to get my ends trimmed very well and go natural. I received my last relaxer on October 15, 2009. This website has helped me alot with how to maintain my hair and what hairstyles I can wear while going through the transition. But I'm going to keep everyone updated with pictures and blogs about my lovely transition.
