Going Natural!!

Hello natural world!! Wow! I didn't know it was so much out here to know, learn and share. I thought you just grow your hair out and go. I also didn't know there are terms like the big chop and all sorts of thing. I'm learning, I'm learning. Since me and my friend decided to go natural, so many people are talking and blogging about their transformation, how to take care of your hair and the products that they use. I am so glad that I'm not the only one that is nervous about this process but very excited at the same time. I wish that I was at the the totally natural stage and I can wear all the cute hairstyles that I am looking forward to wearing. I have a very active 5 year old son, I work full time, and in school. It has always been easy for me to relax my hair, style, wrap and I'm good. When I didn't get my usual cut, my hair started breaking. At the same time, my brother girlfriend asked me, why don't I go natural. Then my friend said, lets go natural. My little cousin told me she just cut the last of her straight hair off. I said to myself that it's my turn. My plan is to cut a little at a time. Since I'm still new to this, I HAVE TO get braids. I can't look like this in my cousin's wedding. This blogging will help me express my hair stress feelings because I am very nervous about the "April showers that brings May flowers" and the crazy Atlanta humidity really will not be my friend this summer. Rainy Days!!

- Nobody ever warned me about rainy day when I was making the decision to grow my hair out in January. My roots are having the blow fish affect now. Taco meat at the roots and Hawaiian silky on the ends. Humid Georgia summer, here I come. But soo excited!
