I started my journey back in July of 2009. It started out with me just being tired of fooling with my hair, so I just wanted it braided. Well I went from style to style, and before I knew it my hair had been braided from August to February without a relaxer. It had really grown out! So I decided since it had been that long, I would try to go a year and see if I could really do this natural thing. I did my big chop literally spur of the moment on January 24. I got it braided right after I did it, but I've been wearing it "out" only for about a month. It's still very dry and coarse to me, so I'm looking for some good products to help me on my way. This has truly been a journey, but I'm trying to hang in there! |
