Protective Styling

So I live in Massachusetts which gets really cold in the winter. This year it seems like winter's starting even earlier than usual (it snowed here just yesterday!). So to protect my hair from the harsh cold winds I decided to do some protective styling. After weighing my options I decided to go with kinky twists. It was affordable and something I could do myself. Today after washing and conditioning my hair I started the 6 hr process. It was tedious but I think now that I know what I'm doing it'll take a lot less time. I also got extremely tired at the end and the front reflects that. The parts are horrible and I did bigger sections so I could just finish. From far away it looks cute, up close, not so much lol. Here are some pictures of my long hair day!

I plan on keeping the twists in for 2 months. I don't know if they'll keep but I plan on taking great care of them so hopefully they last. I will still do Curly Girl and co-wash, deep condition and clarify as needed. I'm pretty excited that I won't have to do too much to my hair for the next two months. :o)

I've even recently started working out and eating better and have lost 10 lbs! My blogs will be about my natural journey and the ups and downs that come with it.
