Braids

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. My family is from Haiti so I've been dealing with the tragedy including personal losses of relatives and such. It's very sad and like everyone I'm struggling to come to grips with the situation.

I did want to do a quick hair update though. I took my hair out of the fro-hawk and there was a lot of growth. So I figured I'd keep my hair braided up for the next few months especially with this nasty winter weather we're experiencing in the northeast.

On Saturday I had someone braid my hair. She did the braids in front too tight but I unfortunately didn't realize at the time. Next time I'll have her do it looser because I don't want breakage. I've been struggling with my edges as it is. Anyway, here's a few pics. My camera is broken so I had to use the Blackberry. I apologize for the poor quality.

I will update again when I take the braids out. I measured right before they were put in and my hair was about 3 inches long all around.

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention, my 6 month nappiversary was on Sunday January 17th! 6 months post bc. I think I've come a long way. 6 more months and I'll throw a party lol!
