Naturally Curly Boys

My boys are my biggest inspiration for going natural. They are both bi-racial. When Phoenix was born I didn't have a clue what to do with his hair. It was very fine and blond. Slowly it turned bright red and supper curly. At one point, when the hair broke off on the sides he had what looked like finger curly dreads sticking 4" straight up off the top of his head. It was soo cute, I didn't want to cut it. And now it is more of an auburn color with medium curls. I tell Phoenix that he has he perfect name that goes along with his perfect red hair. I love to call him Phoenix, my little red head.

When Rowan was born he had a head full of jet black hair. And it immediately started growing. Curly and long. His texture is a little different than Phoenix's. His hair looks more like a afro when combed out, but the texture of it is straight. And when put in a hair band looks straight and curly. He has long spiral curls. I call him my little Indian boy.

I never knew I would really have to fuss much over boys hair. But the more it grew the more people said, Don't cut it.

So with my new found inspiration to go nature, begins my children's journey to always stay natural.
