And be patient! It seems like it takes forever and it can get frustrating, but you just have to be patient and live with less than perfect hair for a while, knowing that there are big rewards at the end. :)

I have transitioned recently and I found that the best thing to do is to just stay away from things that can harshly damage my hair like I got rid of my flat iron. I also layered my hair. This helps allow your curls to be more defined and have less weight on them. The best thing to do is to be patient. At first your hair may be wavy and not at all curly. And then after a while your hair will start to curl more to the parts of your hair that is moisturized. So if your hair may be this case you should decide to put in some conditioning treatments such as olive oil left overnight once a week or leave in conditioner in those areas.
