I have weird clumps of heat damage on my left side, what should I do?

There's 3 small clumps of heat damage (on some the ends curl then straight then curly) I'm scared I'll have to cut my hair real short, what should I do?!

What I suggest is try some protective styling right after you big chop.. get some box braids or havana/marley twists. Or a sew-in weave, to help your transitioning phase not be as awkward. This will give your natural hair some time to breathe and grow out (it won't be exposed to the elements of the weather for a while). After a couple of months whenever you uninstall your protective style, your hair will be long enough to style and it'll feel like virgin hair, giving you lots of room to start over fresh.
