My hair type is kinky 4B, I want it to be 4A so I can wear curls comfortably, what must I do?

There are some curl elongation products out there that may temporarily relax your curls a bit.

Here's one to check out: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlproducts/view/5705/curly-hair-solutions-extenzz-styling-products-6

As far as I know you can't actually change your hair texture, but you can use elongation and stretching methods to have the appearance of a different texture. Embrace your hair and your texture. Your hair does not define you, you define your hair.

You can't actually change your curl pattern naturally, however, doing a braid-out or twist-out in your hair will make it come out looking like a different, curlier hair type. I always do a braid-out right after I wash my hair (it's the foundation for all of my hair styles) and people think I have a naturally soft, curly hair type, when in actuality if I were to let my hair air dry with no products in it, my hair would look as dry as a desert, shrunken up, and knotted/matted like a hay bale. Check out Naptural85 on Youtube, she has a lot of videos on how to do twist-outs, braid-outs, wash n' gos, and whatnot.

It also depends on if your hair is thick or fine. My mother and I have the same hair type but hers is fine and mine is medium/thick. I never do wash n' gos on my hair, it's just not practical for my hair. I always do braid-outs or twist-outs. My mother, on the other hand, always does wash n' gos because twist-outs don't work for her, they stretch her fine hair too much.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think it is possible to change a curl pattern. I'm sorry :(
