- 1 mashed banana
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
DirectionsCombine all the ingredients in a bowl. Using a wide-toothed comb, apply the mask to your hair from the roots to the ends.Let the mask soak into your hair for about fifteen to thirty minutes. The more damaged your hair is, the longer you want to wait.
Rinse out the mask with cold water, then shampoo and condition your hair as usual.
I loved this!! I used baby food banana instead of the mashed banana, worked great! sectioned the hair lathered it on, combed it through. when i finished putting it all over my head i placed a shower cap on my head, then tied my satin scarf around my head(so it wouldn't drip) i left it on for 35 mins.when i rinsed it out my hair felt so de-tangled and easy to comb through, will definitely use again!! hair type 3c
I used a blender to combine all the ingredients. I used coconut oil instead of olive oil. I left it on my hair (covered with a shower cap) for about 45mins. I rinsed it out , but I still had little pieces of banana in my hair. My tip....wash with shampoo REALLY REALLY good. I also used conditioner. The first time I tried to wash my hair I just kinda slathered the shampoo on and didn't really scrub it in much as the second time. So, if you use this recipe wash it good! All the banana was out of my hair when I washed it out properly. This mask made my hair SUPER soft and shiny! I styled my hair as usual and even my boyfriend complimented me on how soft it was. I have less frizz too! y hair type is 3a/3b. This mask worked really well for me and I will do this again next week. Don't be scared of the banana...I know it can be a pain to have banana in your hair...but blend the ingredients and wash REALLY good.

I would think the baby food is better than the actually banana considering it felt a lot of leftovers in my hair. My roots, especially, were softer though. But I'd be too scared to try this again.
