- Green tea bags
- Heat resistant spray bottle
- Tea kettle or pot
- Heat resistant container (jar) with lid
- Funnel or measuring cup with pouring spout.
- **Optional 1 to 2 essential oils of your choice, 1 vitamin E gel capsule and Clary Sage essential oil as a preservative (this could be one of your added essential oils).
DirectionsBring water to boil in your kettle or pot. Add green tea bags (1 bag for every 8 ounces of water you plan to use) to your heat resistant container. Once water comes to a boil, pour water into your container already filled with the tea bag(s). Let tea steep for about 1 hour.
Carefully remove tea bag (the water will still be hot). Next add the honey - 1 tspn per 8 oz cup of water. Secure the lid on your container and shake to mix. The honey will melt in the hot water.
**If NOT adding optional items, pour tea mix into your measuring cup or use a funnel to carefully pour the tea mix into the spray bottle.
**If adding optional items - add 5 drops of each essential oil to your tea mix. Clary Sage - which is optional - works as a preservative to help the honey tea mist last in the fridge for up to 4 weeks. Without Clary Sage the honey tea mist will last up to two weeks in the fridge.
For added nourishment - cut open 1 vitamin E capsule and add it to your mix. Secure the container lid and shake to mix.
Next pour tea mix into your measuring cup or use a funnel to carefully pour the tea mix into the spray bottle.
All - The honey tea mist may still be too warm to use, so put it in the fridge to cool.
Leftover tea mist (that could not fit into your spray bottle) can be use as a after-wash final rinse, in-between wash refresher or poured into a smaller purse-sized bottle to use to moisturize during the day.
