Note: I like the salon but this is specifically a review for the stylist Kristina Welzien. I don't have experience with any of the other stylists. I have 3c/4a black hair and have been getting a "deva cut" for years. I've been bored and either I was not communicating my needs to my old stylist or she wasn't listening, but I knew it was time for a change. I found Edo salon on naturallycurly.com and then googled all of their individual stylists to see if any of them worked with my type of hair. I settled on Kristina Welzien. Kristina cut my hair wet, which, believe me, was scary after years of dry cuts and/or "deva" cuts. Also, she was the first non-person-of-color to work on my hair in a *very* long time. But the gamble paid off! I LOVE the cut Kristina gave me. It's professional enough for work but it can also be worn funky and wild. My hair looks so much more healthy and I'm no longer having fantasies of relaxing my hair or shaving my head. I'm following this woman wherever she goes. I haven't gotten this many compliments on my hair in years.
Rosette is a great stylist. She has long curly hair, and really understands curl. I went to the same stylist for 15 years, but felt like we were in a rut and I needed a change. Rosette listened to me, and was creative with her great cut. People often ask me about my hair - instead of either a frizzy head, or my hair pulled back, I now have nice, intact curls that look great and have a nice, stylish shape. It also grew out really, really well. Thumbs up to Rosette!
