I have had Deva hair cuts, and was trying to find a stylist that would use their imagination with my curls. Upon making my appointment, I asked for a Deva cut. The receptionist assured me that Heather was certified in Deva and she did the dry cut. Once I got in her chair I asked her for the Deva cut, and Heather argued with me that she would lose her Quidad certification if she did the Deva cut. After I decided to go with the Quidad cut. My hair was moisturized, cut, and Quidad gel twist, I paid $120 which did not include the tip. Heather did a nice job on my hair, although it would have been nice if the receptionist told me how much it was going to cost. I have not been back to this salon because I was there for at least two and one half hours. I did not plan on taking that much time to get my hair done, and didn't feel that the cut was worth the money I paid. I feel that this salon is very interested in selling product, and not telling people up front the cost of service. I didn't think it was fair by not telling me about the time involved and the cost of a cut. I am still looking for a Hair stylist who can cut my hair accoring to my features and to frame my face.
I have 3b curly hair. This is my second time going to Me Salon. I live in Somerset County, NJ and it only takes 30 minutes to get to New Hope, PA. The staff is friendly. Heather is great! She really takes her time and listens to her client. She is Ouidad certified and does a great Ouidad cut and style. For me personally, I prefer a regular cut by her, because I like much shorter layers on top of my head for added volume. Usually after getting a haircut, I dash out to my car and put my hair up or a hat on. No one knows how to style my hair without it looking frizzy and awful. Not with Heather. She knows curly hair. I am able to leave the salon confident that I don't look like I just stuck my finger in a socket. Go see Heather. You will not be disappointed. Thanks to naturallycurly.com, I was able to read salon reviews and find a stylist in my area.
