I had my hair cut and colored by Carole and she did a fabulous job. I would've given this review five stars, had I not walked out of there with a big streak of color down the side of my face (didn't notice til I got in the car). Other than that, she has curly hair too and is well-versed in cutting and styling it and is Ouidad certified. I'm happy I found her to do my hair - she does a fabulous job and is VERY knowledgeable and shares that knowledge.
I have been going to Ouidad trained Colleen Keil at Bana Salon (a Ouidad Certified Salon) for a couple of years now. She is awesome. I have 3B Curly Springy hair and before finding Colleen I could never find a stylist who understood curls and knew how to work with my hair. Colleen is great, she knows how to work with my curls and always gets the most out of them. I love that when I get a cut from Colleen I can leave knowing that it will keep its shape for at least two months. Colleen is always training and learning new skills so that she can improve her art. I highly recommend Colleen and Bana Salon to anyone looking for someone to really get the most out of their curls.
I love Colleen at Bana. She loves to work with curly hair and does a fabulous job every time I see her. My hair is 3B and I have never had a lot of luck with finding a stylist that can handle my hair without making it boring or frizzy. Colleen has helped teach me ways to work with my hair so that I can style it myself. She also does a great job with color and highlights and knows how to make highlights work with my curls.
Megan has naturally curly/wavy hair herself, and is very open to discussing your goals for your curls, as well as an expert cutter. I was referred to her by a 3C curly girl, who also loves her cuts. It's a little pricey at $45 for a cut, but well worth it in my opinion. Whenever I leave, my hair is bouncy, healthy, and flattering.
