I recently went to Jesslyn for a Deva cut because my split ends were getting pretty bad. Jesslyn was very friendly and informed me of everything that she was doing to my hair as she did it. She also didnt try to push products on me to buy which I throughly appreciate. The only reason I am giving her a 3 is because I informed her that I dont typically use gel in my hair, and that in the winter I use a heavy moisturizer because my hair is a lot dryer. She listened to what I said, however when it came time to put product in my hair after washing she used a little bit of leave in, and puts about an egg's size worth of gel in my hair. Once my hair dried the gel flaked and it looked like I had a head full of dandruff. The gel also dried my hair out, but because I already washed it before I went, and then they washed it, I did not want to wash it for a 3rd time that day. So I put alot of coconut oil in my hair when I got home and it helped. All of that being said, I love my cut but and hesitant on whether I would go back or not. 3C hair
Jessica is a styling genius! She really understands how to cut hair that is naturally curly for every day wear in a modern style while also cutting it to look hot straight. She knows her products and colors too! I have never left unsatisfied and she never lets you leave if shes unsatisfied! My hair would be a mess without her!
Jesslyn knows how to cut and color curly hair, and the salon itself is a pampering experience. She has DevaCurl training in cutting hair dry, which results in a style that lasts for months. I have fine hair that also needs gray coverage. The salon itself is clean and nicely decorated. The shampoo station chairs massage your back, and they have a new-fangled heat-lamp style dryer that rotates around your head like the rings of Saturn. I emerged calm and well-styled.
