Oh my gosh, I can't believe Shan doesn't have more reviews on here! Start reviewing people! He is amazing. I finally decided to chop off all my hair in to a short curly bob type style, since I'm very low maintenance and couldn't stand dealing with the lion's mane anymore (I'm a wash and go girl). I met with Shan for a free consultation, discussed how little effort I'm willing to put into my hair, and brought a photo resembling sort of what I wanted for style. 3 weeks later (book now, he's always full!) I had the best hair cut of my life! All the other reviews are spot-on, he is very friendly, but low-key, he works alone in his salon, so it's a more personal, less hectic experience. I normally hate going to salons, and I would never go to an up-scale Boston salon, but Shan's studio is great and nothing like the stereotypical experience of other high-end salons. He cut my hair so well, that I woke up this morning with second-day hair. I have NEVER had second-day hair..literally, all I need to put in it right now is a little pomade for some shine and a couple frizzies (I slept on a normal cotton pillowcase, not even satin, and there's still very little frizz). If you want great hair, whether you're high maintenance, low maintenance, or fearful of haircuts or salons in general, go see SHAN!
I had my hair cut over a year ago at the Devachan salon in NY. It was the best cut I ever had, but as I live in Plymouth MA what I really wanted was a Devachan cut closer to home. I found these reviews of Shan on Yelp and made my appointment. I was not disappointed. Shan is a wonderful person, and a fantastic stylist. I feel lucky to have found him. He took excellent care of me and my curls, and I left feeling like a million bucks. I loved the beauty and simplicity of his salon, I felt comfortable there which is high praise considering how I typically avoid salons. My hair hasn't looked this good since my last Deva cut. I believe I've found my new stylist. Thanks, Shan!!
I spent a lot of time researching and hunting for a stylist who could do something wonderful with my hair without blow-drying or flat-ironing it for the big finish. I nearly always leave a salon in tears. So I chose to try a Deva stylist. Shan's salon is small but very personal. He was so incredibly friendly and wanted to communicate with me even though I am deaf. He did such a spectacular job! I didnt leave the salon in tears and fell in love with my curls. It was the first time I had experienced a TRUE Deva cut and I so wish I lived in Boston so I could go to Shan often. The price is worth it as he makes you feel original and special. I have never felt so comfortable with a stylist!
