So worth the drive out to Mill Creek! As best I can tell, Adore has the only Ouidad-trained stylists in Western Washington. After 40 years of trying to wear my curly hair straight, I embraced my curls 16 months ago. I'd read Massey's book and tried to manage on my own with my own stylist in Redmond. I finally realized that I really needed a much better cut than I was getting. I researched and saw there were some Deva-trained stylists around - and then the two Ouidad stylists here at Adore. I researched both systems and decided that I really wanted to try the Ouidad cut: the carve and slice. I'm SO glad. Susan was WONDERFUL!!!! She spent so much time with me. Every step of the way she let me know what she was doing and why was doing it. I really felt like she was working with my hair, my face, and my body shape. She's been doing hair for a long time. After 27 years, she decided to go to New York and get certified in Ouidad's system. What I like about that is that I feel like she has a lot of tools in her toolbox. She will use what works for each client. She cut my hair wet. Then I decided I wanted to color it. She somehow found time to do that too - even though it meant shifting things around. She spent a long time helping determine what color to go with. I've never had someone analyze my coloring before the way she did. Then she spent quite a long time with me helping me learn the Ouidad method of rake-and-shake - because I'd asked. At no time did I feel like she was trying to sell me a bunch of product. And the cut and color are both amazing. My hair has NEVER looked this good.
