My first visit was great. She did a good cut, took my suggestions, didn't try to sell me on any crazy product and we had great conversation. Comfortable little place. She did cut wet, which always scares me, but my husband LOVES the cut so I guess I'm hers for life! Super convenient Shoreline location with AMAZING prices. None of the frills of the big salons (I've spent time at VAIN, Seven, Gary Manuel, Spa Blix etc...), but a GREAT price for exactly what I needed. I'm looking forward to going back!!
Emiko really listened to my hair concerns. I'm really pleased with my haircut. Looking forward to my next appointment to do my color.
I've always gotten my hair cut at places like Gene Jaurez or expensive salons - places where I've only gotten successful haircuts for straightened hair. I decided this year to completely retire the hair straightener, and needed a haircut suited for my curls. Emiko was very thorough in asking what I wanted, asking about how I styled it, what products I use, etc. She explained what she was doing step by step, as well as good care methods, styling techniques, and how curly hair can very greatly. I've never had a manageable curly hair style - it always turns out so shelf-like, and thin at the bottom. I LOVE my new hairstyle, and I can wear it down all day without worrying about it going crazy. I didn't think a haircut would affect the way my curls behave as much as it did. Needless to say, I'll be going back next time. She was great!
I just got the best haircut of my life from Emiko! She used a very different layering technique then I had ever seen, and the result was spectacular. No more pyramid hair! I had been going to Jene Juarez for haircuts prior to this, and thought they were very expensive they had never wowed me. I wanted to cut my hair very short this time, and so I started looking for a different salon. I am so grateful that I found her!
I've been going to Emiko for almost two years and I’m a fan for life! In all of my 30-something years have I never met a stylist that knows how to cut my hair and actually make it look good. With my naturally (very) curly hair, it's very hard to find such a talented stylist and I've finally lucked out! Another great thing about the Goldie Locks Hair Studio is the prices are so good, I really appreciate the amazing quality for such good prices.
