I almost don't want to tell y'all how fabulous Danna is because I don't want to be unable to get an appointment! I've had curly hair since I was 13. For about 25 years, I fought with good and bad hair days, good and bad hair cuts, and good and bad hair products. Then I found Danna. She is amazing. She is a sculptor -- her medium is just curly hair. And she LOVES to teach you how to take care of it yourself. She wants you to look as good walking out of your front door as you do walking out of her salon. And the best part, it is NOT hard. She can teach you how in just one or two visits. And, as long as you've got the good cut as a base to work from, you can easily handle it at home. Do this. She is fabulous!
I have fought with my curly hair my entire life. When I discovered the Curly Girl Handbook I realized I needed to find a stylist that specialized in curly hair. Luckily I found Danna. When I first called and realized she moved out of the area but came back every 6 weeks to take care of her curly clients I knew she must know what she is doing. That fact was clear as soon as I sat in the chair. It was obvious how much she loves taking care of curly hair by the excitement she showed as my dry cut (very important for curly hair) started to take shape. She took the time to show me step by step how to apply product and why that application method worked. The best part was she actually wrote down the instructions for me so when I tried it at home I would know exactly what to do. My hair looked great when she was finished and still does! Although I have gone back to some of the products recommended in the CG Handbook I still use her guidelines on applying products and styling. Danna is great and I am excited for my next appointment!
After moving to the South from a larger city in the northeast for my husband's work, I put off getting a haircut for 8 months out of fear that I would end up with a butchered lampshade cut by someone with zero curly hair savvy. After wearing my hair back for several months, I finally broke down and looked online for a curly hair expert in my region, and struck gold in finding Danna. I've had curly hair my entire life, and have had a real range of haircut results. I grew up getting my hair hacked at by people who had no idea what to do with my curls. In college and graduate school, and working and living in cities I got some pretty good cuts. In finding Danna, though, she has given me some of the best, if not the actual best haircuts, I've ever gotten. Danna has a tremendous ability to maximize my curly hair's potential, and turn transform it so that it complements both the hair itself and my face. She somehow takes my mental image of how good my hair could look and makes it a reality by the time I leave the appointment. She has the best ability with curly hair I've ever seen, hands down. I've now gotten three cuts with her, and each one has been excellent.

She fit me into her schedule so I could get them, and I was able to see her work on several other clients while my color was processing. Each of those other clients benefitted from her work as much as I do, and had beautiful hair through her work with them. Danna also adds plenty of styling and care tips into our appointments, including basics like better ways to shampoo and dry my curly hair, as well as styling techniques and warnings to stop creating frizz like I do. As an added bonus, she's a pleasure to be around during our appointments. It is well worth the two hours I drive each way to get haircuts with Danna, because I know I'll leave with a great haircut every time. Highly recommended.
Danna is absolutely AMAZING! I'm a hairstylist myself. Due to hormone imbalances and several surgeries I thought my hair had lost its natural curl. I was so convinced my hair couldn't be worn curly anymore that I had put 2 different perms in it (one per year). No more perms for me now that I've met Danna! She has an amazing gift with curly hair, she styled mine VERY curly! I'm impressed with her, and coming from another hairstylist that's saying ALOT!
Danna has been such a help to me. After losing my hair from having Brain Cancer she has been by my side as it grows in and changes. It has been a learning time for me from Danna who has been so patience. I get to she her every 6 weeks and my hair has improved from her performance and directions. Any woman who can handle curly hair herself, and others as well, is blessed for keeping it continually looking better and better!
I found Danna here on this website and couldn't be happier with her as a stylist. She is the end-all, be-all for cutting, coloring and styling curly hair. I had no idea how to tame or work with my curls and waves. After one appointment, she had me reacquainted with my hair all over again. It only took me 30 years to find her, and I intend to follow her wherever she goes. She is a beautiful person - inside and out - and her joy is infectious. I look forward to our appointments and have recommended her to many curly gurrlfriends, who now also know her joy and her secrets to achieving curl perfection.
I have been going to Danna for about 10 years now. She is known not just in Birmingham, but all over the southeast as THE "go to" stylist for people with curly hair. Her expertise in cutting, styling and coloring all types of curly hair is what makes her so unique. She will teach you the tricks of the curly hair trade (from post shampoo techniques to the products that are right for your hair), so that you can replicate at home what she does in the salon. Danna taught me to embrace my curly hair rather than trying to make it into what it is not (straight!!!). Danna is positively the best there is. Oh, and did I mention... she is really warm and sweet and very patient!
This review is for Danna. She is now at Thairapy salon. I was already CG when I went to see Danna so she just did a dry cut curl by curl. She really knows curly hair! I love my haircut and will be a loyal customer. I'm glad Birmingham has someone like her. If you have curly hair you need to go see her.
This review is for Danna. She is at Thairapy Salon now. Im so glad we have someone in Birmingham that knows curly hair so well! I was already CG so I went to her for some shaping. She did a great job! She cut my hair dry curl by curl. I love my haircut and will definitely be back.
The best hair experience EVER! Danna did and amazing cut then topped it off with perfect color. I then had the most wonderful shampoo of my life (I've been around a while). Danna gave me very clear instructions on what products to use and how to use them and my long frizzy har ended up in very shiny soft looking spiral curls. Unbelievable results. This was a great hair day.
Thanks to the reviews on this website, I have found a curly hair specialist who can actually make my crazy curls look good!! My straight hair turned curly when I was 21 years old and for over 20 years I have been straightening it. The damage straightening and coloring has done to my hair is very obvious now and I'm letting my hair be au naturale to restore health and length. Danna is my first and only curly hair specialist. She gave me a quick dry shaping cut that immediately made a huge difference, then gave me a great color for my curls. It's fun to be curly now!!
I was very pleased with my experience at Salon 8:28 and with Danna. I've had the hair my entire life and have always been frustrated with the so-called precision cuts. Those cuts are for people with stick-straight hair and have nothing at all to do with people like me. One cut does not fit all! Danna and I were on the same wave-length from the start. I showed her a picture with big, natural curls and she said that is what she first pictured when she saw me. Overall I was very pleased with the initial consultation. After cutting my hair dry, she showed me how to wash my hair and scalp with conditioner and apply the hair goop (my words!). All in all, I'm pleased with my cut. I"m struggling with the styling but it's only been two days since my cut. Do I recommend Danna and Salon 8:28? Absolutely!
Before I met Danna, my hair had it's good days and it's bad days. Now, in my "AD" (after Danna) phase, every day my hair is consistently well-shaped and layered, and I have stopped fretting about how it might behave. She really understands how to cut curly hair, and is truly a gem!! God bless you, Danna!
Hi! Thank you all for the kind words! I have moved to salon 8:28 , still on valleydale Rd, just a few miles down. The number is 205-733-4070. -Danna ....and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose-Romans 8:28
Recently I've had bad luck with stylists not listening to what I ask for and/or not wanting to spend the extra time required to work with my super thick wavy/curly hair... Danna listened and immediately honed in on the aspects of my previous cut that were not working for my hair. She gave me a quick dry cut and fixed my problem areas. My hair is looking great again! Danna was super sweet and friendly to boot! Will definitely return!
Today was my first visit to this salon. I have always had my hair cut the same way, despite asking and begging stylists for something different. I went to this salon based on the reviews from this website. The website spoke highly of Danna because she has curly hair herself and knows how to deal with it. And the reviews were true-- Danna was great. My hair has always been extremely thick, prone to frizziness and the curls just seemed to weigh my face down. I can only describe it as big--it seemed to get wider not longer, no matter how many layers it was cut in. Danna showed me the appropriate way to layer my hair and then she showed me how to wash my hair. I have never been shown or even told that curly hair requires different approaches to washing. I feel so much better after my hair cut. She kept a lot of the length, which I really needed to help minimize my round face. I have had 4 jaw surgeries because of TMJ and as a result, I have a permanent double chin at the most and at the least just a moon face (thanks doc--moving my chin did wonders for my self-confidence). I am 41 years old and my hair looked like I was trying to be younger, but just looking older instead. Now I am quite proud of the fact that my hair makes me look grown up, not old. My face doesn't look like a 41 year old--I look younger--and now my whole head reflects that. I have always gone to hair stylists maybe once or twice a year because it was always the same cut. I left today making my next appointment in 8 weeks to see Danna again. I have finally found someone who sees who I can be without hiding behind my hair.
I finally decided it was time to get my curly hair out of a hair clip. I have worn my hair twisted up in a clip for about 5 years now. After the kiddos were born, I no longer had the time to straighten my hair, so I just clipped it up. I found Danna's reviews on this site and decided to give this a shot. I went in with long frizzy hair and told her I wanted two things.. 1. It MUST be left long enough to put in my clip on those bad hair days and (2.) I would love to be able to wear my hair down without it looking like I have been swallowed by a frizz monster! She went right to work with her scissors. She cut it dry and I could already tell it was shaping up. Then she washed it and told me exactly what to do and what not to do. Then she dried it. My hair has never looked like that before. It was actually in ringlets. I was amazed. I bought the conditioner and the styling product to try my best to recreate the do! It has been about two weeks and I love the hair cut. My hair lays in ringlets and is so easy to deal with now. I wash it every other day with conditioner, like she said, and I just get up in the morning and fluff a little. If it is really frizzy I mist spots with water to get the frizz out. I can wash and dry may hair in 10 minutes and be out the door. The cut is really great and I will go back. I love the conditioner and will continue to use it. Not crazy about the styling cream. I have gone back to my mousse and it does just fine. Anything other than mousse tends to make my hair feel sticky. It is hard to get out of the habit of putting your hair up, but I have only used my hairclip twice and even with it twisted up, it still looks better that the poof of frizz on the top of my head!!! Thanks Danna. Best haircut ever!
I have a good colorist and stylist, but wanted to use someone different for a "makeover". I read all the marvelous reviews before I committed to have what I thought was a "curly hair expert" cut my hair. My hair had grown out and needed SHAPING due to the fact that the cut I had was more for wearing straight (had the Brazilian Blowout done last year). Therefore, I wanted a cut to enhance my curls, in other words more layers. The salon is nice and Danna is very friendly and very talkative. However, I explained in detail what I was looking for and past mistakes from hair stylists who don"t understand curly hair. I explained to her my severe drawing pattern of my hair and how I liked my hair to look according to pics that I've seen of other curly hair people. She agreed, and proceeded to cut out the bulk in my hair (cut dry). She gave me the mirror and it was a round basketball in the back, short at my neck and long on my sides. This cut looks great on super straight hair, but not on curly hair in my opinion. The problem was that I had TOLD her that I did NOT like this look prior to her cutting. I think she has a touch of ADD which makes me think she didn't listen to what I said. I told her that this would not work for me and I would be cutting it when I got home. She said she could fix it which means MORE hair was cut. I was cleansed with regular conditioner since NO shampoo should EVER touch your hair according to her (not even low suds, or specially formulated ones for curly hair). I agree with this method for your hair for the most part, but occasionally I feel the need for a mild shampoo. I already knew about no toweling, or wringing. She patted less than a pea size amount of product on and proceeding to diffuse, trying to pull the curl down and exclaiming how it looked longer than before (it did not), and was surprised how much it drew up in the back (I warned her), and she asked me if I liked tendrils around my face when I had expressively told her that I like this before (it's like she did not hear a word I had said about how I like my hair to look). I really wanted to cry at this point because I know that pulling as it's dried only lasts for a few minutes before the humidity hits and it shrinks and frizzes unless more product is applied in the styling process. As I was paying, she came to the front and instructed me on how to cut my hair when I got home if my sides turned out to be longer than what I wanted. I go outside, it's humid and my hair starts to frizz and I soon look like a dandelion (I'm not kidding) on the right side and the other side looked like a frizzy number 4. The sides were so different it was ridiculous! I had several stares by strangers later (NO COMPLIMENTS!), and people who knew me asked what happened to my hair. IT LOOKED AWFUL!!! Now, I've got to wait about a year for the growth to come back where I need it, because I need it longer to wear curly, so that it is complimentary instead of aging. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to have it straightened again until it can grow out! This expert cut cost $72. I feel like I've been mutilated.
So I have searched all over Birmingham and surrounding areas for someone who knows how to cut curly hair. AND I FOUND HER!!! I got my hair cut today from Dana at Salon M2 and I have never been happier with a haircut. She cut it dry (which is how you're supposed to cut curly hair to see how it will lay) and then she wet it and showed me how to style it. That part was SUPER educational. And it looks AMAZING! It's got so much volume and definition. She showed me which products would be good without pressuring me. I am SO happy and will go to her for the rest of my life! Curly Girls, get your rear over to see her. You will not regret it!
I have been to a ton of different hair stylist who say they can cut curly hair and I usually end of leaving saying, "Well my hair is curly so I can hide this bad hair cut" or "She doesn't know how to style curly hair" With Danna is was completely different. She asked me all the right questions and made me feel like she knew what she was doing right off the bat. She cut my hair dry which has never been done before. Then she went through and TAUGHT me how to do my own hair. She gave me a lot of very easy steps to make my hair look amazing. I left the salon and went straight to a party where everyone commented on how great my hair looked. I styled it myself today using her tips and it looks just as great as when I left the salon. I probably paid more that I have on a hair cut, but she is my hair stylist from here on out. I have wasted a lot of money trying to find someone as great as her. If anyone ever asks me who to see for curly hair, I will never hesitate to send others her way. Thanks Danna! Leslie Treece
After battling with my curls for decades and living with a style straight out of 1986, Danna not only fixed me up with a super cut, but she took the time to show me how to 1) shampoo it...which is NOT to use shampoo at all; 2) towel dry it; 3) style it with the right products; and 4) dry it properly and wear it. Never again will I live with heavy, oddly-shaped hair, or bad-hair-day ponytails, or stressed-out tresses! Danna is one in a million. She helped me figure out what I was doing incorrectly and then put in place the step-by-step I need to use everyday to keep my hair healthy, natural-looking and beautiful. I feel like an official "grown-up", and my hair has never looked better. Thank you, Danna!
After reading the reviews of Danna and living with unruly curly hair for my entire life, I decided to go see her. I will probably never go to anyone else again! As all the other reviews say, she really took the time to teach me how to manage and maintain my curls. I have always had my hair thinned with thinning shears...turns out that is not the best way. So, it will take a little bit of time to get my hair to its full potential! But, Danna is great!!!!! A little pricey, but not everyone knows how to cut curly hair so it's just something I will have to budget for! Definitely recommend her!
I thought Danna did a pretty good dry cut for my curly hair--certainly comparable to my cuts in curly hair salons in New York. I was very impressed with the color she gave me. She expertly blended two shades for the top and mid-end section of my hair so that my roots won't show after a few months. I definitely recommend her!
im SHOCKED to see this stylist with good ratings...I never went to her before, saw the reviews on here and thought i would give it a shot...never again. First, i'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what but she didnt seem to listen to what I WANTED and on top of it she was rude to me. I came in to get color and cut..my color turned out awful, light in some places and wayyy too dark in others, she also got color on my clothes. I'm very picky with my hair so at this point im not very happy. When it was time to cut, she chopped off way more than i wanted and the whole thing ended up being way to short and im on the verge of tears, the back of my hair was awful, she insisted in looked great, never apologized.... not only was I not happy but the whole time that she did my hair she might as well have taken a bible and shoved it down my throat, I'm a religious person, but some of the things she said was greatly inappropriate. WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER BE BACK, WENT TO MY CAR AND CRIED THE WHOLE WAY HOME.
I went to Dana based on all the positive reviews I read and was really pleased. Like most...she dry cut my hair then showed me how to style it to prevent any frizz. She is very personable and makes you feel at ease. As someone else said...the price for a quick dry cut was more than I am use to paying or expected to pay but.....was worth it.
I needed to get my hair trimmed badly, and so after reading the previous reviews, I decided to give Danna a try. She did a dry cut on my hair and I love it! My hair has so much more body and my curls also look curlier. After getting it done, I got so many compliments from other people that I know. I will definitely visit her again for another cut.
My experience was FAR beyond just a good haircut! She really teaches you how to make the most of your curls, instead of unintentionally getting in their way through incorrect handling, which is what I had always done before. I never knew I had hair like this!! I am so excited to find someone I can really trust my hair to.
I took my 12 year old daughter who has a head of thick unruly curls to Danna hoping that she could learn to manage her own hair without resorting to ponytails. Danna was so sweet, she put my daughter at ease immediately. My daugher could not believe how much lighter and cooler her hair felt on her neck after the cut. Danna gave us an easy to follow routine that has been a blessing. Danna is the best!
Danna is my hero! My hair was thinning and the texture had begun to change to partly curly, partly wavy, partly lifeless as a result of medication. Danna asked a lot of questions about my hair and my routines and what kind of look I was going for and she really listened! She cut my hair dry, then she washed my hair herself so that she could teach me what to use and how to do it, then she showed me exactly what to use and how to style it. It looked FABULOUS, but I never rate the success of a hairstyle until I see what it looks like after styling it myself a few times. I have received SO MANY compliments on my hair! It has gone from a schizophrenic mess to beautiful boticelli curls that I never knew I had. Even Danna wished she had taken before and after pictures of me! The salon is more expensive than I was accustomed to paying for a cut, but I have spent more than that the past several weeks on products and vitamins trying to fix this mess on my own. Love, Love, LOVE Danna!!!
All I can say is WOW!!! I'm still amazed at how much curl I actually have after Danna cut my hair. I thought it was more wavy. But as soon as she saw me she said, you don't realize how much curl you have, I'm gonna show you. Then she dry cut my hair. Ladies it is all about the cut and how you style your hair to get the maximum curl pattern. And also with my hair being fine and thin, the way she cut layers into my hair gave me so much volume and uniformed curls I'm still shocked. She is a wonderful stylist and I will continue to go to her for haircuts. Also the staff that I met were very inviting, warm and courteous. An overall excellent experience. Highly recommend this salon. Thanks again Danna!!! Holly
I finally went back to Danna (although I waited a month) and this time I decided to let her do whatever she wanted with my hair. I'm so glad I did! She cut the straighter bottom layers so well that they are adding to how cute my hair looks, not detracting. And overall my hair is curlier than ever and I am loving it! It feels so good to have a hair cutter I TRUST! By the way, M2 (M Squared) is on Valleydale, not Calleydale....
Danna was great! It was my first visit and she taught me a lot about how to take care of my curly hair. I am still getting used to the cut but my curls look better than ever! Can't wait to go back for another cut in a few months.
I liked Danna a LOT and she obviously knows curly hair! I got my cut done about 2 weeks ago and haven't had a chance to go back and talk to her yet. I had wanted to keep some length but the bottom part of my hair is much straighter than the top and sides so i think I want her to re-cut it a little. I hope I don't have to pay the full price again, though.
I went to Danna around 3 weeks ago and had a great experience. I wanted to wait until I styled my hair a few times, both curly and straight, before reviewing; I have gotten soooo many compliments! My hair has a touch of multiple personality disorder (some tight ringlets, some waves, some almost straight), but with just s few snips from Danna's scissors, my curls are finally in check. It's amazing! I've never had my hair behave so well.
I have lived in Birmingham for 5 years now, and I've never been able to find someone that I really like to cut my hair here. I went to Danna today and I don't think I'll go to anyone else! I've never had a stylist really listen to me before and be excited to cut my hair. She listened to what techniques I used and really worked with me to make sure I liked what she had done. I do believe today was the first time I've ever left a hair salon and liked how my hair looked leaving. Usually I go straight home and redo it before going anywhere else. I highly suggest checking her out!
i have always loved my curly hair but i have had to put it up every single day because i had so much of it and it weighed down my face. nobody has ever known how to cut it...i felt like i was hiding my best asset every day. it honestly broke my heart. i went to see danna as my last resort...and it was the best thing i have ever done for myself, my confidence and my hair. i have never had my hair look this great and i have worn it down every single day since my haircut! i was so nervous as she chopped off the curls, but i began to see it taking shape! she was so knowledgeable and to say i was impressed is an understatement! as a curly girl, i know how traumatic haircuts can be...i have left many a haircut looking like a q-tip. but danna has made my hair look like i always dreamed it could...she brought out the potential! and the fact that she has curly hair herself put me at ease...trust me, girls...she "gets it." go see her soon! you won't regret it, that's for certain! you'll only wish you had gone a long time ago!!! :)
My hair was in dire need of a cut, and after reading the reviews on here, I decided I'd get a cut from Danna. She did a wonderful job. I'm usually literally shaking and sick to my stomach sitting in a salon chair as I await the horrible things about to happen to my curls, but, I felt calm and completely at peace entrusting my ringlets to Danna. She knows what she's doing. My hair is tad shorter than I'd hoped for, but it's to be expected with my hair...my curls just get super excited whenever they get cut. But, the cut is most definitely THE best hair cut I've ever received. I have awesome layers for the first time in my life and I don't have the always stylish triangle look going on. Everyone loves the new "do", and I'd definitely go back! She's soo nice too. Very very sweet! Thanks, Danna!
I went to see Danna Friday based on her reviews from this site and it was the BEST thing I have EVER done for my hair! She already knew about the CG meathod and showed me exactly how to cowash, tips on styling for perfect volume, shape and clumps! She did an amazing layered dry cut on my hair and it looks the best it ever has. In my 30 years, I've never met anyone who knew as much about how to properly cut and treat curly hair as she was! I will be going back to her ANYTIME I need anything done to my hair! Alsow worth mentioning is that she was easy to get in and see, on time and the spa/salon she works at is stocked with CG friendly styling stuff and it's also just a nice, fun and also relaxing atmosphere! Danna was fun, friendly and eager to help!
I have naturally curly hair and went to see Danna. She did an amazing job. I will definitely be going back to see her and if you have naturally curly hair, you should go see her too.
I got the best haircut I've ever had from Danna. I moved from FL to SC in 2007 and could not find a stylist in SC in the three years I lived there. I tried a new salon every time I needed my haircut, and each one was worse than the one before. I was constantly in front of the mirror trying to "fix" the disaster on top of my head. Then I moved to Birmingham and found Danna. I feel like I hit the lottery! I went to see her on Oct. 22 and she really understands curly hair. I LOVE the cut I got! As it's growing out, my hair hasn't started to to look strange and unbalanced, like sometimes happens. I have never looked forward to getting my hair cut in my entire life. Until now. I am excited to go back and know I will be pleased with the results. Thank you Danna.
Danna is amazing! I have never been so happy with a haircut. She is a curly hair specialist, so she knows exactly what she is doing. She gave me awesome layers so that my hair looks full but not out of control. She also showed me how to wash, blow dry, and style my hair so that my curls are much more defined and flamboyant! It’s like having a whole new head of hair. The salon is a little pricey, but I think it’s well worth it. I HIGHLY recommend Danna at Wynn Hair and Nail Spa. The name of the salon changed from Citrus Salon Spa to Wynn Hair and Nail Spa. The phone number is (205) 538-5972.
Danna used to be at Sanctuary. You can find more reviews for her there. I went today for my first cut from her and she did a fantastic job. It was a dry cut and took about 20 minutes. She did just what my hair needed and she's sweet as can be! She taught me how to work with my hair and get better, bigger curls and clapped for me when I told her I was hanging up my flat iron. I adore her and will keep going back.
I've now had 2 haircust by Danna -- July and early September. Fabulous. Simply fabulous. I get compliments all the time on my hair -- even from people who've known me for years. It really is like having a whole new head of hair. The Salon has a new owner and the name will change soon. But, as I understand it, Danna will still be there.
I had a consultation with Danna this morning based on the reviews posted here when she was at a salon in another town. Long story short: I loved her. First, she has curly hair, so this stuff is not theoretical to her. Second, I told her very basic information about what I was thinking and she ran from there. Everything she said was right. If she's half as good at the hair cutting as she is in talking about curly hair issues, then I can wait for the haircut she's giving me later this week!
I love her! Before I went to Danna, my hair was crunchy and did not curl very well. She taught me how to get big, soft curls! She also said she offered a class on how to style your curls, but I don't remember what the class is called or where it is at. She gave me a cut that makes my hair fuller at the top instead of the bottom, so I no longer look like a triangle. Yay for Danna!
More praise for Danna! She's just amazing. I went to her for a year in college and I never had so many compliments on my curls! I loved that she was no push over! She knew what would look best and pretty much took charge. I felt like I had been stuck in a rut for years because I never had stylists who helped me find the best look for me and were often too careful about making a lot of change. She also still listens and pays attention to the length you want and concerns you might have. I loved every single haircut she gave me. I'm really struggling to find a new stylist since I moved away because no one is going to beat Danna!
I told Danna to do whatever she wanted to my hair. I have never had a haircut before that I was truly happy with, and have always worn my hair shoulder-length. She cut it very short! I was nervous at first but now I love it. She taught me how to take care of my curls (no shampoo, use a diffuser, no "turban" towel wrap after showering) and my hair feels great. The salon itself is very nice, too. It's a bit pricey but worth it. I will definitely be returning to see Danna in a few weeks!
For the first time in my life I truly love my curly hair. Danna is wonderful. She really understands curly hair. She explained to me how to take care of my hair to get rid of the frizzies. I look forward to going to my next appointment. Loved the salon also. Very nice and calm atmosphere.
Danna is the only stylist who has ever had a clue as to how to cut my thick curly locks. I drive 2 hours to get a cut from her. I was very busy a while back and tried to get a cut locally. It was a disaster and after going back to Danna my curls are once again falling in a good direction. She has taught me how to care for my dry thick locks and they are healthy too. The Salon is classy, but with a comfortable, friendly feel.
Danna is the only stylist who has ever had a clue about how to cut my very curly hair. I drive 2 hours to get a cut from her. This summer I was so busy that I tried two local stylist, but they didn't compare to Danna. I went back and feel good about my hair again. She also gives great tips about how to clean curly hair without drying it out and how to style it. The salon is very classy, but comfortable and friendly.
