I made an appointment with Tania after reading all the great comments about her here, and WOW, what a great haircut. She took the time to talk to me about how I care for my hair, how I like to wear it and what would be the most flattering style for my face shape. The cut she gave me was exactly what I wanted. To top it off, she’s an absolutely lovely person -- she was very friendly and really listened to what I had to say. Not only was this the best haircut I’ve had in years, it was the best salon experience: As a former customer of Devachan and a Ouidad-certified salon, I’d become so used to stylists being rude, sullen and overly critical that this was truly a wonderful surprise. I’m looking forward to going back.
I finally followed the advice to see Tania Martinez (formerly Tania Fonseca) at Fuse Salon and am I glad I did! I'd grown frustrated with my Ouidad cuts (which I'd been getting for the past few years), as none of the stylists I tried was able to vary the cut enough to frame my face in a flattering way. Plus, the amount of product and the elaborate method has become burdensome. The first thing Tania did was sit down with me, look at my hair and talk: what did I like and what was I unhappy with, what products did I use, how often did I shampoo, what was I hoping for in my hair? I told her everything I could think of--she was so easy to talk to--and then she got to work. I gave her permission to do whatever she thought would be most flattering, and in a short time she was finished. I couldn't have imagined a better cut for my hair and my face! She explained the product she was using (only one!) but never did a hard or even a soft sell, and spoke realistically about how I might need a different product in different weather and how to experiment with my hair to learn how it responds to different factors. And since then, I've been through a second day (looked just as great) and now a shampoo and my own styling and product. I'm just as happy as I was when I left the salon. And let me add that a visit to Tania was much more friendly to the wallet than a Ouidad visit, and that includes the tip. Tania has won my business. I never thought I'd be so happy with my hair cut!
