As of now (October 2010), Alison is not taking on new customers. When I called, Nick referred me to his other store in Ridgewood: Glamour Beauty Supply to see Joyce. I have an appointment for later this month and I'll review after I go. :)

I went here based on the other positive reviews of Allison's work. They were right. She is terrific! I was hesitant at first, because she herself doesn't have curly hair. I was worried she wouldn't understand what we curly girls go through. But she seems to really enjoy givng Deva Cuts. She loves the techniue and it shows. I walked in a frizzy mess, and walked out like with healthy looking curly hair. She recommended the Deva line of products. She didn't give me a hard sell, which I appreciated. While I think the products do work well, I truly belive it was the cut that made the big difference. She did an outstanding job. They're open late and reasonably priced too.

Attention all curly friends. Make your appointment with Alison at “Glamour, Too” Salon in Waldwick. I went in last weekend and she transformed my curls into soft, silky, beautiful and bouncy curls. Alison touched up my layers while still keeping my length, gave me a semi-permanent color to hide my grays and toned down my highlights to a warm brown shade. Wow, she’s the BEST! I absolutely LOVE my glamorous curls. I get compliments on my hair from my co-workers and I am so happy to have finally found someone that truly knows and understand curly hair. Nick, who runs the store is great as well, he knows his hair products and carries a large selection of products in the store. After trying every curly hair product out there, nothing has ever worked like the DevaCurl line. They are great on my curls!

I happened to stumble across this very small and quaint salon while I was online looking for a store which carried the DevaCurl line of hair products which I LOVE! I went in and found the prices to be incredibly affordable and as I waited online to pay for my purchases, I noticed the small salon. A week later, i went in to see Alison for partial highlights since I was not due for a cut and she did an excellent job!! I also brought in my 5 yr-old daughter to get her hair cut and she did a great job as well. She has many curlyhead clients and is also trained and certified as a DevaCurl Care Consultant. Alison is very friendly and so is her brother, Nick who runs the beauty shop and knows his hair products. If you're looking for someone new, then I suggest you see Alison. She's really good and let them know that Margie referred you. Good luck!! :-)
