Grace works at Louis DeChiarro Salon and she has trained to do the Deva cuts. I’ve had my first Deva Cut with Grace and it really changed my hair. My curls are a lot more defined. Grace also did my glaze, which I recommend it to everyone, even if it is without color it makes the hair very soft and shinny. Grace is very patient explaining how to use the Deva products (you can purchase in the salon). I recommend Grace because I am very happy with my curls.
Update: Lois Stoeffhaas has moved. She has joined the Devachan Salon in White Plains 10601 at 147 East Post Road. She has been hired as a Sr Colorist and is still able to take requests for haircuts. To book an appt call(212)274-8686. (formerly at Louis DeChiarro Salon in Eastchester, NY 10709)
Lois is absolutely wonderful with curls. She puts you at ease and she put alot of time & effort into my curls. Lois does not force products on you so that you're broke. She tells what you need to have and what you need to do to make your curls look great! She knows a lot of secrets to great curls. She emails you everything you need to know to redo your hair on your own. Lois gave me undivided attention, only focusing on my hair. I looked high and low for someone to work on my hair that I can trust.
I found this salon thru this web site. Decided to give it a try. I must say that Lois has to be the most passionate person I have met when it comes to us curly's. She is patient and explains everything she does. She even e-mailed me with detailed instructions on using the Deva products!I will absolutely go back. She takes so much pride in her work. I would highly recommend her to all my curly coarse friends out there !!! Phyllis
Lois is a true treasure in Westchester! Finally, after all these years I have found a stylist who understands my coarse, kinky, frizzy hair and has tamed it into soft, manageable curls I'm proud of! Lois has been trained by Devachan in their cut and color process, but has a talent all her own as a hair stylist. For years other stylist who didn't understand my hair cut it very short or suggested I straighten it, but Lois has patiently urged me to let it grow out and what a difference it has made. The Louis De Chiarro salon is open and airy, and everyone treats you like family and has a warm smile and hello for you. You also receive a nice scalp massage with your shampoo and conditioner. I live 25 miles north of Manhattan and could go anywhere to have my curls done, but I'd never dream of leaving Lois. She's patient, talks to you before she does anything to your hair, whether its about cut or color, and always has plenty of time for you; you're never rushed. I know you'll love Lois and the De Chiarro salon and this curly girl does!
