I have been going to Andrea for a Deva cut for six or seven years. After searching for years for someone who knows how to cut curly hair, I tried Andrea and have never looked back. Both of my daughters have curly hair as well, and they made me try her first. She now also cuts my daughters' hair. Andrea takes the time to listen to what you want, and I have never had a bad cut. The Deva products are good as well. I occasionally try something else, but always come back to the Deva Curl line as they work the best with the Deva cut.
I have been a client of Randi's for several years and I can not say enough good things about her-she is fantastic! She recently encouraged me to try the Deva cut and I am so glad I did I love it-my curls have never looked better! After many years of "fighting" my curls, I have stopped wanting/trying to straighten it. I reccomend Randi to anyone looking for the perfect hair stylist :)!
I visited Teresa at Beans after reading others recommendations on this site. This was my second trip to a stylist I found here, but my first (ever) good haircut. I have fine, very curly hair. Teresa cut my curls dry (another first), and spent time teaching me how to cleanse and condition my hair, how to style and maintain damage-free hair. And all those instructions came home with me on a nice print-out courtesy of Teresa). I left the salon smiling and am about to go out (without washing and restyling my hair!) -- yes, another first. Even though I live in the Midwest, I'll be making my haircut appointments with Teresa when I'm in the Philly area. When you call Beans, ask for Teresa and a "Deva" cut. The entire staff of the salon was really nice, and the downstairs beauty store was stocked full of must-have goodies and more friendly, helpful hair-pros.
