Ouidad Mongongo Oil Multi-Use Hair Treatment

Sep 17, 2012 - This is the absolute best oil I have tried and believe me, I have tried them all. Macadamia, argan, Ojon, and they all contain silicones. My hair likes certain silicones but not the ones they use in these oils. The fabulous thing about the Mongongo Oil is that it contains NO SILICONES! My hair is in love with this stuff. When I went to get some of the new Co-Wash at my local Ouidad salon I saw this oil and decided to buy the 2 oz bottle ($36). Now I am thinking I should have bought the big one (4oz/ $58). I wasn't sure how it was going to work and that's the reason I didn't buy the big one. If it didn't work out I would be left with yet another oil in my arsenal of oils. Thank you Ouidad! I will be buying this oil for many, many years to come!

Alagio Crazy Curl Curl Enhancer Balm

Sep 19, 2010 - When I want lots and lots of curls this is the stuff I reach for! I use it as my last step with a few other products. First I use a leave in conditioner then a product like CHS Curl Keeper or Curl Junkies Curls in a Bottle. As the last step I will use this and really scrunch it in there. When my hair is fully dry and I scrunch out the crunch it created and BAM! LOTS of Awesome curls! Another plus is that it's very inexpensive.

DevaCurl Heaven in Hair Intense Moisture Treatment

Jun 05, 2009 - This is my holy grail deep conditioner and I absolutely love it! I first wash my hair and then towel dry it. Then I cover my hair with plastic wrap and a hot towel for 30 minutes or longer. My hair is soft and moisturized when I am done. I have 3b hair.

Devachan Salon and Departure Lounge - New York, New York, United States
Stylist:
Lois

Jul 24, 2011 - I went to Lois the other day for a shaping and also for a hair trial. My sisters wedding will be in August and she is having her hair done by Lois that day. She told me what an amazing job she did and that I should think about having my hair done there also. Lois gave me a fabulous cut, not taking much off because I am growing it really long again. Right now its below my collarbone on its way to bra strap length. Jezel then cleansed with No poo and One condition. She then applied Arc Angel to my soaking wet hair, scrunched with her hands as I flipped my head and leaned over. She also went over everything she was doing in detail. I liked the trick with the paper towel scrunching! I never thought it would work. Jezel then used the clips to give me lots of height in the front then placed me under the hood to dry. My hair dried in 30 minutes which is fast for my hair. Lois then scrunched it but i told her I didn't want the curls broken up too much because I was going out later and I would do it myself. It looked awesome! We also went over the different options for when I get my hair done for the wedding and she showed me a couple of alternative styles. I was very pleased with the services I received from all the employees of this salon. I highly recommend Devachan Salon in White Plains. Especially if NYC is a hassle for you to get to.

Lois

Nov 04, 2010 - I went back to Lois the end of October (26) after having seen her in June. For the second time I received an amazing haircut. I am letting it grow and just needed a little shaping. She hardly took anything off but when we were done a transformation had occurred! Amazing as usual! I can't recommend this salon enough and the wonderful staff that work there also. Don't walk to Devachan, run!

Stylist:
Lois and Rini

Jun 11, 2010 - Hands down the best stylist ever! My sister recommended her to me and it was a fabulous experience. She took the time to analyze my bone structure and then inform me of the type of style that would look best with it. She also was very respectful of my wishes to grow my hair long again and told me I shouldnt need another cut for at least 6-8 months. Talk about an honest stylist. Last time I was told to come in every 8 weeks. If I had done that I would have no hair on my head! Rini was the wonderful young man who cleansed, massaged and then pinned my hair before placing me under the diffuser. Afterwards Lois checked and double checked my hair to make sure it was just right. Everyone else working there couldnt have been friendlier.
