Jun 04, 2009 - This was my first real "curly" cut. It was such a relief to walk in a salon and not have my hair looked at like the pelt of some foreign animal. Candace dove right on in and she speaks our language, telling me that my hair was a mix of 4b and 4c. She did a quick razor cut, deep conditioning treatment and twist out. The salon is kind of pricey. Probably normal for Atlanta standards, but at $100 for my visit (and the deep conditioning treatment was actually free), I'll probably have to save her for special occasions. Anyway everybody loved my twistout. I washed my hair this morning, put in the same products I've been using for months and OMG I can't believe the difference in my hair. It has gone from being an impenetrable mass to actually having shape and definition. I'm so happy. I've changed my mind about getting locks and I'm going to try to work with my hair and get it longer.
