Jane Carter Solution Curl Defining Cream
Oct 10, 2011 - Me- Type 4A. Natural for 3 years, responsibly natural for 1 year.
Rating- Took 1 curl away for price, 1 curl away for smell, 1 curl away because it didnt work for me
Smell- Smells like the shampoo and conditioner with a slight eucalyptus or mint smell. Still hate the smell.
Makes My Hair Feel Like- Dry, stripped and in need of moisture
Pros- I like the pump on top, thats useful!
Cons- Didnt do anything for my hair. Dryed it out, hair shrunk, got flakes and the smell overpowering wouldnt go away.
Remarks- Again this product is light. I think it should be used in the summer time for heat and humidity. This along with the rest of the line that i have reviewed has dryed my hair out, making my hair feel stripped since using the shampoo. I even got flakes and my hair itched on occassion. The smell is overpowering. I used the cream along with the leave in to keep it moist to do twists. When you apply it it feels slick at first but then it drys up really fast. I tested it on my hands. When i applied some to my hands it felt slick and slippery like gel but it immediately absorbed into my hands and then my hands felt firm. It didnt feel dry but felt rough. I ran my hands under the water and the slick gooey slipper feeling came back. I think it is meant to absorb into the cuticle providing a layer of stiff protection but does not make my hair soft or anything. If you already have long curl defined hair, and are looking for a light wash in go and dont need moisture this may work for.
