Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Conditioner

Mar 11, 2012 - One of the best drugstore conditioners I've found. If you love beachy, coconut, tropical scents, you'll love the way this conditioner smells, and it does linger in your hair. (That's a plus for me, but some people might not enjoy that aspect.) I find it has good slip, moisturizers well and leaves my hair soft and shiny, but not weighed down. I also use a few dabs as a leave-in conditioner.

Kinky-Curly Knot Today Leave-in/Detangler

Sep 01, 2011 - I love this leave-in conditioner for my long 3a/3b hair. It's light, smells wonderful and I can use it by itself as a styling product when the humidity isn't too high. It's a little on the pricey side, but I only need to use two nickel-size dollops, so one bottle lasts me a long time. I'll definitely repurchase when I run out.

Avalon Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Conditioner

Jul 28, 2011 - This conditioner left my 3a/3b hair stringing with poorly-defined curls. To be fair, I've tried using it a few times, but with no success. It feels like it's coating my hair and it left my tub more slippery and slimy-feeling than silicone-based conditioners. I know this one is 'cone-free, but it doesn't feel or "act" like it. Will not repurchase.

Stylist:
Wendy Corrona

Jan 23, 2011 - Wendy is the BEST. I've been going to her for years and now my husband (also a curly) goes to her as well. She herself has naturally wavy-curly hair, so she understands how to cut, style and care for curls. She's the only stylist that has ever been able to style my curls after a cut - everyone else has either resorted to a blow out or has turned my curls into a rat's nest. She's incredibly personable and she LISTENS to what I want - she knows that a half inch trim means just that: half an inch, not two inches. The overall feel of the salon is cozy and welcoming ~ customers who've never met before end up chatting and laughing as if they've know each other for years. Wendy's expertise, sweet dispostion and the amiable vibe of the salon, you're sure to leave with a smile on your face.
