Design Essentials Natural Honey CurlForming Custard

Mar 07, 2014 - It gave my coils a soft feeling, yet a firm hold, without flakes or stickiness. This is the kind of "gel" I like to use. If my hair was longer, I think it would be nice for twist outs and such. It also has a nice perfume-like smell. I think it's pleasant and not too strong and unless you have longer hair around your face you probably won't smell it too much after it dries. I do get occasional whiffs of the scent, but I like it so, it doesn't bother me.

Pantene Pro-V Truly Natural Shine Serum with Argan Oil

Feb 28, 2014 - I don't usually have any use for serums, but I just used it like an oil to seal in moisture. It had a slippery soft feeling in my hair. I applied it after using the co-wash and deep conditioner from the same line and I got nice soft little curls. I probably wouldn't reuse it, only because using a serum seems so unusual, plus I want to be able to use a co-wash and not a shampoo to get rid of the dimethicone in this product which would eventually lead to dryness if I didn't wash it out after a day or two. So, as nice as felt I would still prefer to use some natural oil in its place.

Pantene Pro-V Truly Natural Deep Conditioner

Feb 28, 2014 - This conditioner was great going on--it had good slip and my hair felt really moisturized as I was rinsing. Then, afterwards my hair felt kind of rough. I'm not sure why it felt that way, but the last feeling is more important to me than how it feels wet. While it wasn't right for me I think it could work for others who have some other hair factor that differ from mine like porosity or something.
