Apr 09, 2013 - The results from this are pretty solid - better than I used to get from dry shampoo back when I used one before I went CG. It's nice for adding some volume on the top of my head at the end of the day or after I've gone to the gym. I'd have to keep using it to be sure, but I expect I'll repurchase, since this with a refresher spray makes my short 2c-3a curls look almost normal, after my gym headband-plus-dozens-of-bobby-pins combo leaves them bizarrely misshapen. Not a huge fan of the weird, strong, powdery scent, but it's really only noticeable when you apply it; it doesn't linger.

Apr 09, 2013 - So disappointed by this - DevaCurl AnGel/ Light Defining Gel is HG for me, but since so many people said in reviews that they prefer the DevaCare ArcAnGel, I figured it was worth giving it a try. Wrong. Used alone, my curls are defined, but super stringy, and my hair feels really dry and looks sad at the end of the day. I had some B'Leave-In sitting around, since I used to use that with the AnGel and now usually don't, so I tried that with the ArcAngel. That gave me something which I could charitably call beachy waves, which didn't look THAT awful, but wasn't really what I was going for. I still have a lot left, but it looks bad enough that I'm tempted to just throw it out and buy the liter-size bottle of AnGel.
Aug 06, 2012 - After the really exceptional reviews for this product, I was pretty disappointed. It didn't feel especially moisturizing and it didn't help with frizz control. Maybe it works better with KCCC - I just used it as a leave-in under a few gels that I had in the house already - but alone I didn't think it was anything special. For a glycerin-free leave-in, the Curl Junkie Beauticurls Leave-In works much better for me.
Themedievalist's Latest Salon Reviews
Mar 04, 2012 - This was my very first curly cut, and I was really happy with it, and with the whole experience. Amanda did a great job of explaining what she was doing and showing me techniques to style my own hair at home. I got a good sense of the different products available and how to use them, but didn't feel pressured to buy anything. The cut itself looked great - this is the first time I have been able to get this much volume without frizz - and it was such a relief to leave the salon and actually know how my hair would look the next day, instead of being convinced to just get it blow-dried. Best of all, I actually have a salon in walking distance of my house! I woulld definitely recommend Jo Bruno to anyone else in New Haven with curly or wavy hair.
