AG Hair Cosmetics Re:Coil Curl Activator

Feb 10, 2013 - I put this is damp hair....it wasn't soaking wet or dry...I put this product on top of my leave in conditioner. This product dries hard...not really crunchy...if that makes sense? Anyway, when it was almost dry I just flipped my head upside down and scrunched out the hardness and the result was awesome! My hair feels sooo soft and each curl is well defined ...not crunchy or hard AT ALL ....minimum frizz too! My hair loves this product...I'm glad it's CG friendly too

Dove STYLE+care Nourishing Curls, Whipped Cream Mousse

Aug 29, 2012 - This product was ok. It does have a soft hold....but too soft for me. Don't get me wrong, I don't want crunchy hair, but it didn't control my frizz very well. I put this product in my hair when it was really wet. Usually when I do this with most products ...my hair comes out nice, but not so much for this product. It didn't last throughout the whole day neither. I need more hold for my hair. I just realized it has some -cones in it, so maybe that's why my hair doesn't like it.

Kinky-Curly Curling Custard

Aug 29, 2012 - I put this on after the leave in. Like some other reviews....I really don't like the feeling of hair when I scrunch this product in my hair. It feels weird. When this product dries it leaves me hair a bit crunchy...but I get really nice curls when I scrunch the curls out. I've been experimenting and I've been trying to get the perfect amount. One time I put too little...so my hair was a bit frizzy. Another time I put too much and it weighted down my hair. There was a time I had the perfect amount and my hair came out nice.....but I wasn't paying attention and I don't even remember how much product I used. I'm trying to figure out that amount. In conclusion ...I think if you find the right amount of product for your hair this stuff can be awesome.

Teresa Callen

Feb 03, 2013 - I have not had my hair cut in over 2 years because I have had some horrible experiences. I did a lot of research and I wanted someone who has had decent reviews for curly hair ( that is around the area I live.) I found Teresa on yelp and decided to give her a try. Your first time cut is going to cost 120$. Yes, expensive, but for me, I am willing to pay anything to have a decent cut/style. I think if you go back to her, it's a little cheaper? I've been CG for a while and I was thankful to see that Teresa uses the DevaCurl line. She first asked me about my hair and what I was looking for. The only request I had was to keep it semi-long....and I left the rest to her. My hair was cut dry. After the cut Teresa shampooed and conditioned my hair. After that she put some DevaCurl product in my hair and had my sit under some heat for 15-20min My hair looks fantastic now! My hair before didn't have any shape to it...and it looked weighted down..but after the products and the cut my hair felt more bouncy...soft...and curly. I'm really really happy with my results. My boyfriend even says my hair looks wonderful. Teresa is such a sweet person and I would love to go to her all the time, but it's a bit pricy....plus, I live in morgan hill, so it's a bit of a drive. I'm a happy curly hair customer.

Mar 11, 2010 - I've been looking for a place to get my curly hair cut for the last year! I don't trust ANYONE with my hair because it seems like no one around this area KNOWS how to cut it right. Anyway, I came onto this website and saw some pretty decent reviews for Silvia. So, I tried it out. Silvia is super sweet and really does listen to your hair problems. She made me feel comfortable too. I was kinda disappointed with the price, I spent 90$ on a TRIM! Yes, a freaking TRIM. Yes, it IS my fault for not asking or checking the price, but 90$ for a trim? She just chopped off my dead ends and that's about it. I guess I should have known. To sum it up I will never go back. Silvia is awesome, but I could probabaly find someone else to trim my hair the way she did for 50$ or less. My "cut" was alright. Nothing spectacular. Maybe it's just me, but for 90$ I expect to LOVE my hair. The best part of this salon? Getting my hair washed. It felt super good! haha
