Mar 24, 2012 - I recently moved to Michigan, which meant having to find someone new to cut my very thick, long, and very curly hair. I was a little worried about someone new cutting my hair, and the price did scare me off a little, but I decided to give it a try anyway. From the moment I walked in I got nothing but excellent service. I was offered something to drink and, once I had my steaming cup of coffee, Carmen sat down with me and we talked about my hair. She asked me several questions about how I liked to wear it and I told her about my process and what I did and didn't like to do with my hair. She's very knowledgeable and it shows in the finished product. If you're looking for a salon that's going to pile your hair with product and dry it or damage it with styling tools then this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for someone who is interested in the health of your hair and is more than happy to share her knowledge about how to keep your hair and scalp healthy and how to get the most out of your curls without subjecting them to chemicals or excess heat, then this is the place for you. I walked out of there with bouncy, lovely curls and hair that felt soft and smelled divine.
