Nov 19, 2011 - I went to see Samantha Gunn because I thought she was a curl "specialist". Turns out she knows nothing about curls. I have beautiful soft curls and I walked out of there looking like a poodle. She began by cutting my hair dry (which I thought was great), followed by a wet cut. After she styled my hair I was in shock and seriously wanted to cry. She asked me how I felt about my "new" hairstyle and I told her that I didn't like it and that my curls were nicer when I first walked in the door. She wet my hair with her spray water bottle and ran her fingers through my curls and began to restyle my hair. I think anyone who has curly hair knows that YOU DO NOT RUN YOUR FINGERS THROUGH CURLS AFTER YOUR HAIR IS DRY and if you wet it, it just becomes a frizzy mess and the curls lose their form and bounce. To top it off I was charged $85 FOR THE WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD! To be quite honest with you I could've done a better job myself, better yet I think my 4 year would've done it better. When I got home I put my hair in a ponytail. She must've written that first review herself, because she definitely has no experience with curly hair.
