- Brynn Cardwell
Jul 04, 2013 - I scheduled an appt. for a straw set on 7/2, but when I arrived on 7/3 no stylist had been assigned to style my hair. After 10 minutes of waiting, a junior stylist became available because of a no show. During my shampoo, I mentioned to the junior stylist that I was interested in getting color and cut, however, she proceeded to tell me she didn't have time to do it that day (yet she ended up taking two walk in clients during my 6 hr stint at the salon). After putting the rods in my hair, Brynn placed me under the dryer for approx. 3 hrs while she worked on two other clients hair. Sadly, she tried to place me back under the dryer for an additional 1 hour after I'd already been under it for 3 hrs. I believe she was attempting to buy time so that she could complete a hair trim and finger style on one of her walk in clients. I was extremely livid at the substandard customer service I received from the junior stylist and management as a whole. This company is not BBB accredited so the only way to make customers aware of this terrible experience is to leave a review. Management acknowledged the unnecessary length of time I spent at the salon, as I was checking out, yet still charged me $90 for a straw set. Again, I arrived at the salon at 10:30 a.m. and left at 5:00 p.m. They offered me a free hydration treatment(s) (owner never specified the exact number), but I will not be patronizing this business anymore. This was my 3rd visit to the salon, and I must say it was the worse visit this time. If you must use this salon, make sure you deal with a Master Stylist. It will cost more, but they're professsional and manage their schedules well. From now on, I will be using Deeply Rooted or Curlie Girlz Rock Salon. P.S. the salon offers a free hydration treatment to clients who post 4 reviews...hence...the reason why it has so many positive reviews.
