SheaMoisture Tahitian Noni & Monoi High Shine Glosser

Jan 20, 2015 - This is a great shine serum! I have found that it only really works on dry hair. When I put it on damp hair, my curl pattern didn't form as well. However, on dry hair, holy shine!!! My hair has natural highlights in it, but they are usually difficult to see when my hair is naturally curly. After using this product though, they popped right out! I would caution to focus product only about halfway down the hair and onto the ends for control. Also, I only use 4 pumps on my curly hair, so a little goes a long way. It also works well after heat styling, like with a straightener or curling iron. Definitely only use 3 pumps on heat-styled hair, otherwise hair gets super greasy really quickly.

SheaMoisture Tahitian Noni & Monoi Smooth & Repair Rinse Out Conditioner

Jan 20, 2015 - I am not a fan of this... I tried this as a rinse-out conditioner, and it did virtually nothing for my thick, long, wavy 2b hair. I then tried it as a leave in, and it also did a whole lot of nothing and made my hair feel producty, limp, and frizzy. I prefer to use the masque (from the same line) as my rinse-out conditioner instead. Also, I don't know what it is about this product, but the smell is just awful to me. Almost like b.o. and gross men's cologne that's trying to be masked by a floral scent. It's weird, because I don't get that same smell from the rest of the line. The other products in the line still smell quite floraly, but in a good way. This specific one is just bad.

SheaMoisture Tahitian Noni & Monoi Smooth & Repair Conditioning Shampoo

Jan 20, 2015 - This is a decent shampoo. I really only use it when I plan on heat styling my hair, such as straightening or using a curling iron. I then follow with the nourishing masque from the same line as a rinse out conditioner. I found that using this shampoo before going naturally curly just allowed my curls to frizz up and felt limp and...weird. However, it works like a charm with heat! Not a part of my daily routine, but definitely my go-to when using hot tools! But that's what this line is made for: to use with heat!
